Welcome to Auch Books

The website of Mary Jane and Herm Auch — children's book authors and illustrators. Our books range from punny chicken picture books for little ones, short chapter books for young readers, middle-grade novels, to young adult. The novels include both contemporary and historical stories.

The Books page contains a complete listing of our published books. If you want to buy a book that is currently in print, please check with your local bookstore first. We have added a buy button that will show you sources for the books that are no longer in print.

The School Visits page tells about our program and how to arrange for us to come to your school. It also provides a place for teachers to submit activities related to our books. Students — find information for author reports on the Meet the Auchs page.
